Have you inherited your mum's love style?

Are you and your mum attracted to the same type of men? Is it a case of mother knows best? Take our test to find out.

1.How close are you and your mum?
  Very, she’s my best friend.
Fairly, we spend a lot of time together.
So-so. I love her but we don’t exactly see eye to eye.
Not at all. We don’t have a very good relationship.

2.As a child I viewed my parent’s relationship as…
Stable – but they had their problems.
Ideal – it seemed like they were always in love.
Not one I want to emulate.
Perfectly normal. They had ups and downs but I always felt loved and happy.

3.What has your mum thought of the boyfriends you’ve brought home?
As long as they treated me well and with respect, she’s been happy to welcome them.
I try not to introduce my boyfriends to my family.
She’s always loved my boyfriends they even visited when I wasn’t there and chatted to her on the phone.
She’s liked some and tolerated others.

4.People say that I take after…
Mum. We’re the spitting image of each other.
Another relative, such as grandparent or sibling.
Mum mostly, but I’m also like my dad to some degree.
No-one. I’m a pretty independent and unique person.

5.I think of my mum as…
Someone I wish I had a better relationship with.
A terrific friend. She’s great but I don’t agree on everything she does or says.
An amazing person who I love very much and who’ll always be there for me without judgment. Okay, maybe a little.
A saint. I want to be just like her.

6.I think my mum’s advice about boyfriends has been…
Spot-on. She’s warned me off a few and I’m so glad I listened to her.
Wrong she usually likes the ones that look good on paper.
Non-existent. I don’t talk to her about my love life and she doesn’t ask.
Mostly right, but she knows I need to figure things out for myself.

7.How much do you know about your mum’s love history?
A few things about how her and dad met, but I only heard them from my grandparents.
She doesn’t talk about her past relationships and I’ve never really asked her.
Everything. We talk to each other about sex and men all the time.
She’s told me a few stories, but I wish I knew more. I’m a bit embarrassed to ask.
