Beauty Q & Acosmetics
My doctor has prescribed Isotretinoin capsules to treat my acne but it leaves my skin very dry and irritated. What do you recommend I use to soothe and soften my skin while taking this drug?

If you’re taking Isotretinoin therapy (eg: Roaccutane) which can cause increased sensitivity, dryness and irritate the skin, Avéne™ Extremely Gentle Cleanser and Avéne Skin Recovery Cream is good for gently cleansing, soothing and moisturising the skin.

If your doctor has prescribed the oral contraceptive pill (eg: Diane-35ED) or antibiotics (eg: Vibra-Tabs™) for your acne, then Avéne’s 3-step skin regime for oily and problem skin should help with your dryness.
The three steps are as follows:
Step 1 - Cleanse
Cleanance™ Soapless Gel Cleanser – ultra mild, soapless gel cleanser for problem skin containing the plant extract Curcurbita pepo, zinc gluconate and Avéne Thermal Spring Water.
Step 2 - Moisturise
Cleanance Anti-Shine Regulating Lotion – an oil-free moisturizer with a unique system of absorbent microcapsules – hydrates, smoothes and moisturizes the skin leaving a matt finish.
Step 3 - Treat
Cleanance K – Containing high levels of AHAs and BHAs, deeply cleanses clogged pores and ensures effective exfoliation. Cleanance K can be used alone or in conjunction with non-irritating acne medication.
